The surface treatment and advantage of aluminum alloy case

Surface treatment is a process of artificially forming a surface layer with different mechanical, physical and chemical properties on the surface of the base material. The purpose of surface treatment is to meet the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, decoration or other special functional requirements of the product. The following are some common surface treatments for aluminum alloy housings.

1. Surface polishing

Using mechanical, chemical or electronic chemical methods to reduce the surface roughness of the aluminum shell to obtain a bright and flat surface. The polishing process is mainly divided into: mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, electrolytic polishing. The aluminum parts are mechanically polished and electrolytically polished, which can be close to the mirror effect of stainless steel, giving people a sense of high-end simplicity and fashionable future.

The advantage is that the impurities on the surface of the shell are removed, the aluminum shell is polished brightly, the appearance is smooth and comfortable, and the change of the appearance can make the shell be used in different occasions and applications. This surface treatment is the more common and popular treatment.

2. Surface brushing and sand blasting

The process of cleaning and roughening metal surfaces using the impact of high-speed sand flow. The surface treatment of the aluminum shell of this method can make the surface of the work piece obtain a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, so that the mechanical properties of the work piece surface are improved, thus improving the fatigue resistance of the work piece and increasing the gap between it and the coating. The adhesion of the coating prolongs the durability of the coating film, and is also conducive to the leveling and surface of the coating.

Sandblasting improves the fatigue resistance of the shell and increases the adhesion between it and the coating, additionally prolongs the durability of the coating film, and it facilitates the leveling and decoration of the coating. Choosing different sand grains can create different look and feel, so that users of the shell have different choices.

3. Surface drawing treatment

Metal wire drawing is the manufacturing process of repeatedly scraping an aluminum sheet out of lines with sandpaper. Drawing can be divided into straight drawing, random drawing, spiral drawing, thread drawing. The metal wire drawing process can clearly show every tiny silk mark, so that the fine hair luster appears in the metal matte, and the product has a sense of fashion and technology.

Drawing has the characteristics of individuality. After special oxidation treatment, it has the advantages of wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., and the maintenance is relatively simple, the texture is fine, it is easy to clean, and the service life is relatively long.

4. Anodizing treatment (divided into natural color oxidation and dyeing oxidation)

Aluminum shells are generally processed through this process. Anodizing refers to the electronic chemical oxidation of metals or alloys. Under the corresponding electrolyte and specific process conditions, aluminum and its alloys are exposed to aluminum under the action of applied current. The process of forming an oxide film on the product (anode). Anodizing can not only solve the defects of aluminum surface hardness and wear resistance, but also prolong the service life of aluminum and enhance the aesthetics. It has become an indispensable part of aluminum surface treatment and is currently widely used and very successful case.

This is a common surface treatment method for industrial aluminum alloy. The principle is to form an oxide film on the surface of the case. The advantage is that it can increase the anti-corrosion and wear resistance of the case, and has an insulating effect. It is suitable for various industrial production fields and can play an anti-static effect.

  • Spray paint and powder paint

Spray paint is to disperse the liquid paint into paint mist particles with the help of compressed air and adhere to the surface of the shell, while the powder spray is to use compressed air to disperse the powder into powder mist particles under the action of high-voltage static electricity. on the shell surface.

These two surface treatment methods have the advantages of fast construction, good flatness and no poor texture. The advantage is that there are many colors for option , which can cover the raw material defects of the shell. In addition, the good surface can increase the corrosion resistance and maintain the durability of the color.
